How To Download JEE Main Answer Key 2018
Here, we have mentioned simple steps in order to download the Official JEE Main Answer Key:
Step – 1: Go to the official website jeemain.nic.in and click on the JEE Main answer key link.
Step – 2: After opening the link, the candidates have to enter the application number, password, and security code.
Step – 3: The JEE Answer Key will be available in PDF Format.
Step – 4: The availability of the answer key is from 24th of April 2018 to 27th of April 2018.
Step – 5: The last date of challenging the answer key is 27th April.
Step – 6: To download the JEE Main answer key, the candidates have to enter application number and password.
Using JEE Answer Key
The candidates can download the answer key and use it to compare with the responses they have written in their exam with the correct answers. The formula to calculate the JEE Main Score is:
The Marks Obtained = Marks for correct responses – (A) and Marks for incorrect responses – (B)
- A – Number of Correct Answers x 4
- B – Number of Incorrect Answers x -1
According to the official marking scheme of JEE Main, the candidate will be awarded by 4 marks for each correct answer and on the other hand, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Challenging JEE Main Answer Key 2018
The aspirants who disagree with the answer(s) mentioned in the answer key will be able to challenge the official answer key of JEE Main. In order to challenge the answer key of JEE Main, the candidates will have to submit an online objection form to the CBSE Officials on or before 27th of April 2018 along with the proof of their challenge. The candidates who want to challenge the JEE Main answer key will have to submit a fee of Rs. 1000/- per question challenged. The payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking etc. If the challenge of the candidate is accepted by the CBSE Board and the recorded response(s) is not the same as marked by the candidate in their OMR Sheet, then the correction will be done and the fee will be refunded to the candidate.
How to Challenge the Answer Key JEE Main
Here are the steps to Challenge the JEE Main Answer Key 2018:
Step – 1: On the official website, candidates have to click on the Challenge the Answer key link
Step – 2: After that, login by providing application number, date of birth and security code.
Step – 3: After successful login, the candidate’s detail will be mentioned on the screen.
Step – 4: Now, the candidates have to provide book number, question number, answer and the claimed answer and click on add to claim list.
Step – 5: The last step is Payment. The candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000 in online mode to challenge the JEE Main Answer Key. The fee can be paid via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, PayTM or by SBI Buddy.
