Acc to Section 4 of the Act, the Internal Committees shall consist of the following members to be nominated by the employer, namely: —

  • The Presiding Officer shall be a woman employed at a senior level at the workplace;
  • not less than two Members from amongst employees preferably committed to the cause of women or who have had experience in social work or have legal knowledge;
  • one member from amongst non-governmental organisations or associations committed to the cause of women or a person familiar with the issues relating to sexual harassment.
  • Provided that at least one-half of the total Members so nominated shall be women

Khewat– a register of all estate-holders in the area under survey and record operations or under record operations, specifying the nature and extent of the interest of each and his co-sharers, mortgages in possession and persons holding land from him otherwise than as tenants, if any. (114 a)

Khatauni is a register of all persons cultivating or otherwise holding or occupying land in such area, specifying the particulars required by section 121

  • These include cases when a police officer, a member of the armed forces, or a public servant commits penetrative sexual assault on a child. 
  • It also covers cases where the offender is a relative of the child, or if the assault injures the sexual organs of the child or the child becomes pregnant, among others. 
  • The POCSO Amendment Act 2019, adds two more grounds to the definition of aggravated penetrative sexual assault-  (i) assault resulting in death of child, and (ii) assault committed during a natural calamity, or in any similar situations of violence. 

Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) of 2012 prescribes a minimum of 20 years in rigorous imprisonment for aggravated penetrative sexual assault, which can extend to life imprisonment or death penalty. The offender is also liable to pay a fine to the victim to cover medical expenses and rehabilitation

The interest of tenant in his holding or a part thereof shall be extinguished, as per the provisions of Tenancy Act 1955, 

  1. When he dies leaving no heir entitled to merit
  2. When he surrenders or abandons it 
  3. When his land has been acquired under the Land Acquisition Act. 1894 
  4. When he has been deprived of possession and his right to recover possession is barred by limitation
  5. When he has been ejected therefrom 
  6. When he acquires or succeeds to all the rights therein of a landholder or the landholder inherits or otherwise acquires the same.
  7. When he sells or makes a gift thereof 
  8. If he migrates from India to a foreign -country without obtaining a valid passport or without lawful authority:
  9. If the allotment of land is cancelled or the land is ordered to be resumed under the provisions of Rajasthan Land Revenue-Act. 1956

1. Scientists are planning to move people from Earth to Mars due to overpopulation on Earth. 

2. Mars and Earth are similar to each other as Mars is the only planet other than Earth in the entire solar system that might be able to support life since it has all the ingredients necessary for life. 

3. There is a need for an alternate home for humans as our population has crossed the 6 billion mark and the fear of possible disaster has gone up. So, to avoid any mishap, it is time to consider a supportive alternative home for mankind. 

4. The orbital mirrors placed facing the polar caps may absorb and reflect all the sunlight which after a period of many years may melt the ice on the caps on Mars. After a few years, the rise in temperature would release greenhouse gases and heat up the planet. 

5. The solar-powered greenhouse gas factories would imitate the natural process of plant photosynthesis, inhaling carbon dioxide and emitting oxygen. Thus, the atmosphere would slowly be oxygenated to a point when Mars could support human life.
