BHASHINI : Bharat Shared Services for Speech Translation
- BHASHINI stands for BHASHa INterface for India.
- Bhashini is an AI powered language translation platform, bridging literacy, language, and digital divides.
- Purpose:
- Bridge the digital, literacy, and language divides by creating innovative, voice-first multilingual solutions.
- Enable seamless communication and access to digital services in multiple Indian languages. (2 number me yahi tak karna h)
- Objectives:
- Advance Indian language technologies for digital inclusion.
- Promote sustainable language tech solutions and AI models.
- Encourage indigenous intellectual property (IP) generation and collaborations with national and international agencies.
- Increase Indian language content on the internet, focusing on governance, policy, and science & technology.

- AI-driven speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
- Part of National Language Translation Mission under MeitY.

BharatGen Initiative
- Government-funded Multimodal AI Initiative led by IIT Bombay under DST’s NM-ICPS (National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems).
- Goal: Develop generative AI models in Indian languages, speech, and computer vision to boost public service delivery and citizen engagement.
- It uses Bharat-centric data and is open-source.
- Timeline: started in September 2024. Expected completion in two years.

- Planetariums will be constructed in Jodhpur, Kota and Udaipur at a cost of about Rs 10 crore each.
- approved setting up the Rajasthan State Faculty Development Academy (RSFDA) for educational reforms and orientation in the field of higher education → With this approval college-going students and students studying in Class XI and XII will get soft skills training.
