Government Schemes for Farmer’s Welfare.

Rajasthan Government, in convergence with Central schemes, has launched several initiatives to support farmers across the entire value chain – from seed to market – under the broader goal of Viksit Rajasthan @2047.

1. Input Support & Production
  • Mukhyamantri Beej Swavalamban Yojana: Promotes self-reliance in quality seed production. Farmers produce certified seeds on their fields. 50% subsidy on seeds for small/marginal farmers + free minikits. 
  • Soil Health Card Scheme & Goverdhan Jaivik Urvarak Yojana: Soil testing and 50% subsidy (max ₹10,000) for vermicompost/organic fertilizer units. Promotes organic farming (target >25% area by 2047).
  • Kisan Credit Card (KCC) & Rajasthan Cooperative Gopal Credit Card: Zero-interest short-term crop loans and interest-free loans up to ₹1 lakh for dairy farmers.
2. Risk Mitigation & Insurance
  • Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY): Comprehensive crop insurance against natural calamities, pests, and diseases.
3. Technology & Extension Services
  • Namo Drone Didi Yojana: 80% subsidy on drones for Women SHGs for precision spraying. Empowers women and reduces input costs.
  • Agri Clinics: One in every district for soil testing, crop advisory, and pest management.
  • Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF): 3% interest subvention for warehouses, cold storage, and processing units (up to ₹2 crore loan).
4. Post-Harvest Management & Processing
  • Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PM-FME): 35% credit-linked capital subsidy (max ₹10 lakh per unit) for individuals and groups. Focus on ODOP products, branding, and common infrastructure.
  • Solar Crop Dryers & Cold Storage: Subsidies for reducing post-harvest losses (target: 25–40% reduction).
5. Marketing & Price Assurance
  • e-NAM (National Agriculture Market): Rajasthan has integrated ~173 mandis. Enables transparent online trading, better price discovery, and reduced intermediaries.
  • RAJFED & KUMS (Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti): MSP procurement of wheat, pulses, oilseeds; scientific storage and buffer stocking.
  • Krishak Uphaar Yojana: Gift coupons and incentives for selling through e-NAM.
6. Capacity Building & Inclusive Development
  • Training through Agri Clinics, Pashu/Krishi Sakhis (Rajeevika), and women-led processing centres.
  • Special focus on SC/ST, women, and small/marginal farmers.
