  • Features: This AI solution has been developed in collaboration with Wadhwani AI.
  • Objective: To identify TB patients and follow-up high-risk patients through AI.
  • Expansion: The three AI solutions implemented as pilot projects in Kota division (Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar) will now be expanded to all 41 districts of the state.

    • To accelerate the pace of creating a compelling startup ecosystem in Rajasthan, the state government has operationalized the biggest and the most advanced startup hub – Techno Hub. The idea is to provide an entire support system to the rising entrepreneurs by helping them to pitch their ideas and get connected with the potential investors. The incubation centre offers free space, connectivity, easier funding, mentorship, and exposure to the startups.
    • To strengthen the startup ecosystem in Rajasthan, state government has announced Rs 500 crore startup fund – ‘Techno Fund‘.

Ghar ghar Vigyan, Ghar Ghar Navachar campaign
  • Started by education department from Debari, Udaipur
  • This initiative aims to develop scientific thinking among the students. This campaign was started by MLA Tarachand Jain, along with District Education Officer Lokesh Bharti.
Vigyan Jyoti Yojana
  • Under the Vigyan Jyoti Yojana of the Department of Science & Technology, girl students are being connected to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) subjects in higher education.
  • Their number has increased significantly in the last three years.
  • Uttar Pradesh ranks first in terms of connecting girl students to STEM, while Maharashtra and Gujarat rank second and third respectively. Rajasthan ranks fourth in this.
  • In Rajasthan, 923 girl students were connected to STEM in the year 22-23, 1263 in the year 2023-24 and 1712 in the year 2024-25. Thus, in three years, a total of 3895 girl students of class 9-12 in Rajasthan joined STEM.
i-Start scheme – started in 2017
  • iStart Rajasthan is a flagship initiative by the Government of Rajasthan intended to foster innovation, create jobs and facilitate investment. The program aims to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship which would further help in the economic growth and development of the state. Through this initiative, the State Government intends to build an environment where there would be easy access to knowledge exchange and funding.
RajNet
  • Under the RajNet project, work is being done to provide network connectivity to government offices/buildings up to the Gram Panchayat level in the state. 
  • Modern RajNET 2.0 system announced in budget 2025-26 with a budget of 400 crore.
  • RajNET 2.0 doubles connectivity capacity.
Rajasthan Startup Policy 2022 
  • Implementing Department: Department of Industries, Government of Rajasthan
  • Policy Duration: 5 years (2022–2027)
  • Key Targets: Support to 20,000 startups in five years. Creation of 15 lakh (1.5 million) jobs. Establishment of 500+ incubation centers and innovation labs.
  • Definition of a Startup: A company or entity that— is less than 10 years old, has annual turnover below ₹100 crore, works on innovation-based products or services, is recognized by DPIIT (Government of India).
  • Financial Assistance: Up to ₹40 lakh grant for incubators. Up to ₹20 lakh seed funding for startups. Assistance for registration, patent filing, and prototype development.
  • Incubation Ecosystem: At least one incubation center per district. Development of Startup Hubs in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur. Innovation/Tinkering Labs in colleges and universities.
Knowledge Augmentation through Research in Young Aspirants (KARYA)
  • Implemented by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan.
  • Under KARYA program students from basic sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life Sciences) 
  • Studying in State Government Institutions only (State Government Universities, Government Colleges) will be provided an opportunity to work on short-term projects at institutes of eminence (DAE’s, DBT’s, IIT’s, CSIR’s, DST’s, ICAR’s, ICMR’s and others)

  • Duration – eight weeks during summer vacation.
  • The selected students will be provided fellowship for meeting out expenses during eight weekends T.A. (to and fro).
  • In 2024, 38 students were awarded fellowships under the KARYA-2024 Program to conduct research at prestigious institutions.

Events in the news

National Space Day celebrated in Jaipur
  • Two-day event (Innovation Hub): On the occasion of National Space Day, an event was organised at Innovation Hub, Jaipur on August 22-23, 2025.
  • The theme was ‘Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities’, under which the Aditya L-1 model and rocket launch were demonstrated.
  • Main events at Jantar Mantar:
  • Event: A special event was organised on August 23, 2025 at Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Jaipur, with the aim of making Rajasthan a leader in Astro Tourism.
  • Organisers: Rajasthan Tourism Department and Space India.
  • Historic moment: In this event, for the first time in 300 years, the huge instruments of Jantar Mantar were used for live astronomical observations.
  • Presentation: The programme presented India’s ancient astronomy combined with modern space achievements like Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan.
Equity fund of ₹100 crore
  • To strengthen the startup ecosystem in the state and promote innovation, the Rajasthan government has announced to set up an equity fund of ₹100 crore along with giving rewards of up to ₹5 crore to startups.
Agreement Between: Rajeevika and Ruma Devi Foundation
  • Date of Signing: October 8, 2025
  • Objective: To strengthen the skill development, entrepreneurship promotion, and sustainable livelihood creation for rural and tribal women.
  • Initiative: (Rajeevika) has undertaken this MOU under its new initiative, ‘Unnati Incubation Hub‘ 
  • Provision: Under the agreement, both organisations will jointly work towards women’s skill upgradation, entrepreneurship encouragement, and market access.
Inauguration of Rajasthan’s First KMC (Kangaroo Mother Care) Lounge.
  • Inauguration Location– Kherwada, Udaipur.
  • Benefit: This model will strengthen the Newborn and Maternal Health Program.
  • It will identify high-risk pregnancies during the ANC (Antenatal Care) period and provide them with proper care.
  • Other Inaugurations –  Minister Babulal Kharadi also inaugurated a modern lab unit, constructed at a cost of ₹40 lakh, at the same Community Health Centre.
First Agri Clinic Centre in Bharatpur
  • Location: In the Agriculture Complex near Circuit House, Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
  • Launch Date: September 9, 2025.
  • Significance: It is the first Agri Clinic Center in Rajasthan for testing crop diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
Artificial Rain at Jamwa Ramgarh Dam
  • The first Cloud Seeding Operation on the Jamwa Ramgarh Dam in Jaipur was successful on September 1, 2025, resulting in artificial rain.
  • The country’s first drone-AI powered cloud seeding (artificial rain) experiment has been launched at Ramgarh Dam in Jaipur.
  • This pilot project is being run collaboratively by the Rajasthan government and the India-US tech company Genex AI.
  • The experiment uses drones and artificial intelligence (AI) to perform targeted cloud seeding.
  • NaCl (Sodium chloride) was used.
  • The process involves spraying chemicals such as silver iodide, potassium iodide, or dry ice into the atmosphere using aircraft or ground-based machines. These chemicals act as condensation nuclei, attracting water vapour and forming droplets. When the droplets become heavy, they fall as rain.

Rajasthan’s First High-Quality Drug Testing Laboratory in Jodhpur
  • Location: Established at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur.
  • Key Function: The lab will be capable of determining the quantity of herbal ingredients in the medicines, which will make it possible for drugs to be approved within the state itself (instead of relying on labs in other states).
