Economic Survey 2019 - 2018-19 Download PDF

The annual Economic Survey  2019 was tabled in Parliament on Thursday (04 July 2019) by Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman. The survey has been prepared by Chief economic adviser Krishnam­urthy Subramanian.

What is Economic Survey ?

The Economic Survey is an annual document that reviews the developments in the economy over the previous 12 months. The document summarises the performance on major development programmes, highlights the policy initiatives of the government and analyses the prospects of the economy in the short to medium-term.  Every year, the Economic Survey is tabled in the Parliament a day before the Union Budget.

Economic Survey 2019 (2018-19)

The Economic Survey 2018-19 retained the fiscal deficit estimate for 2018-19 at 3.4 per cent of the GDP, same as projected in the interim Budget.
